The primary mission of the Innovation Center is to ensure effective integration between agricultural science, education, and production, to contribute to the implementation of the state agrarian policy in the field of socio-economic and cultural development of rural areas, particularly in the agricultural sector of the Western region of Ukraine, and to promote improvements in working conditions, living standards of rural workers, and environmental protection.

The principal objectives of the Innovation Center are to facilitate the implementation of scientific and technological advancements in the core, processing, and service sectors of agro-industrial production through:

  1. Development of strategic and operational plans, as well as business plans for enterprise growth and rural area development.
  2. Provision of consulting services to agricultural producers.
  3. Training programs for farmers, managers, and specialists of private agricultural enterprises, as well as for rural residents, aimed at developing agribusiness competencies.
  4. Implementation of international programs supporting post-privatization development of agricultural enterprises in the region.

The operational experience of the Innovation Center demonstrates the crucial role of such a unit in advancing the agrarian sector of the region.
Through the Innovation Center, LNAU researchers actively cooperate with enterprises that support agricultural production — including Eridon, Ukrtehnofos, Bayer, BASF, RAIZ, DuPont, Monsanto, August, Gaben, Halnaftokhim, among others — as well as with public organizations, governmental administrations, international projects, regional and district farmers’ associations, and the Lviv Center for Economic and Scientific-Technical Information.

The outcomes of this collaboration include scientific and practical conferences, seminars, field days, round tables, and other academic and professional events.
