The Research & Development (R&D) Center of the University serves as an interdisciplinary hub integrating applied research, innovation, and knowledge transfer across agriculture, veterinary medicine, food technologies, engineering, environmental sciences, digital technologies, and socio-economic studies. The Center supports the full innovation cycle—from fundamental research and experimental development to pilot implementation and commercialization—aligned with EU priorities on sustainability, digitalization, and resilience.

The R&D Center coordinates research activities of multiple faculties and laboratories, providing access to modern scientific infrastructure, including agrochemical, biotechnology, veterinary clinical, food technology, engineering, energy, and digital systems laboratories. A strong emphasis is placed on climate change adaptation, animal welfare, food security, precision agriculture, renewable energy, AI- and IoT-based solutions, and post-war recovery of territories and critical infrastructure.

The Center has proven experience in international and national R&D projects, including Erasmus+, Interreg, USAID, Jean Monnet, and state-funded research programs. It acts as a platform for international cooperation, capacity building, and lifelong learning, supporting the development of innovative educational programs, applied research for industry and communities, and evidence-based policymaking.

Through close collaboration with universities, research institutions, public authorities, and the private sector, the R&D Center contributes to sustainable development, innovation-driven economic growth, and societal resilience in Ukraine and beyond.
